9-Day Cambodia Highlights with Beach Holiday

Your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby early in the morning, around 05:30, for a chance to witness the stunning sunrise at Angkor Thom, weather permitting. Following this, you’ll explore Angkor Thom starting from the South Gate and visit Bayon Temple, renowned for its iconic ‘Smile of Khmer’. As you proceed through the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, you’ll gain insight into Khmer civilization. After exiting through the Victory Gate, your guide will take you to a popular local restaurant to sample regional specialties.

In the afternoon, you'll tour Ta Prohm, famously featured in the film Tomb Raider. The day will conclude with a visit to Phnom Bakheng Mountain, the highest point in Siem Reap, where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset.

You will be guided north to explore Preah Khan (also known as Sacred Sword) and the nearby Neak Pean. Next, you’ll visit the Banteay Srei Temple, renowned for its exquisite and intricate carvings, often referred to as the ‘pearl of Angkor Wat’.

After lunch, you’ll head to Pre Rup, a site historically used for cremation ceremonies of ancient royalty. The tall structures here offer a panoramic view of the surrounding lush forests, making it an excellent spot for sunset viewing. Your day will conclude with a local Apsara Dinner Show, providing a memorable end to your trip.

After breakfast, you'll embark on a 3-hour drive to Battambang, with a chance to view the renowned Floating Village on Tonle Sap Lake en route. Once you arrive, you can check into your hotel, enjoy a brief rest, and have lunch.

In the afternoon, you'll be taken to Phnom Sampeau to explore the Killing Cave, which was used as a prison by the Khmer Rouge. Following this, you'll visit the Battambang Bat Caves. Around 6:00 PM, you'll witness the incredible sight of millions of bats emerging from their roosts in a dramatic display as they head out to feed.

In the morning, your guide will take you to experience the unique Bamboo Train in Battambang. Following this, you'll embark on a 5-hour drive to Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital. During the journey, you'll enjoy the picturesque landscapes of Cambodia and pass by Oudong Mountain. Upon reaching Phnom Penh, you'll check into your hotel and have time to relax.

Today, your guide will first take you to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Choeung Ek Killing Fields to gain insight into the atrocities endured during the Khmer Rouge era. Following this, you'll explore the National Museum and the Royal Palace to deepen your understanding of Phnom Penh's history. After these visits, you'll be returned to your hotel.

Following breakfast, your guide will transport you to the airport for your flight to Sihanoukville, renowned for its stunning white sandy beaches. Once you arrive, a local driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to explore at your leisure.
